About the Author
Haakon Fossen is Professor of Structural Geology at the University of Bergen, Norway, where he is affiliated with the Department of Earth Science, the Natural History Collections, and the Centre for Integrated Petroleum Research (CIPR). His professional career has involved work as an exploration and production geologist/geophysicist for Statoil and as a Professor at the University of Bergen (1996 to present), in addition to periods of geologic mapping and mineral exploration in Norway. His research ranges from hard to soft rocks and includes studies of folds, shear zones, formation and collapse of the Caledonian Orogen, numerical modeling of deformation (transpression), the evolution of the North Sea rift, and studies of deformed sandstones in the western United States. He has conducted extensive field work in various parts of the world, notably Norway, Utah/Colorado, and Sinai, and his research is based on field mapping, microscopy, physical and numerical modeling, geochronology and seismic interpretation. Professor Fossen has been involved in editing several international geology journals, has authored over 90 scientific publications, and has written two books and several book chapters. He has taught undergraduate structural geology courses for over ten years and has a keen interest in developing electronic teaching resources to aid student visualization and understanding of geological structures.

Great text terrible binding!

CONS: Everyone I know who bought this book in hard copy is pissed off! The binding is terrible and the book is falling apart!

PROS: This is the best structural geology text I could have gotten! Its got great colored pictures, easy to follow chapters and concepts, has a nice summary and review questions at the end of almost every chapter, and has magnificent online e-modules to help drive home the main concepts.

I definitly recommend this text, but the e-book version from [...]. This is after all a new book, and Im sure the publishing company knows about their fatal flaw by now, so I would assume they plan on fixing it soon.

This book is interesting, not too hard to read. My copy is just fine but a handful of people in my class have had the binding fall apart on their copies, so that would be something to watch for especially if you were purchasing it used.

I love the Seasons of Reflection Bible. I have had one for many years. For me the best feature is the Day I, and so on, way it works. Most start with January 1st. Day 1 makes it easy to start in March at the beginning of the Bible, not 1/4 of the way through. I don't have to play catch-up, just go day by day, not by date. I love that it has old, new, and pslm. or prov. for each day. It is a wonderful blend of scripture that way. It has nice thin loose pages, and is easy to read. I could go on, but for time. It truly is the best read through Bible I've seen!

I started reading this after my husband started to use his for his daily quiet time. I can't begin to tell you what a wonderful book this is.
Every day I start with reading some verses in the old testament, than new testament passages and a psalm or proverb. It has been wonderful for
me and very helpful. I start reading and have coffee, than afterwards I sometimes journal. My husband and I are reading the same book daily
and often specific verses in the bible will stand out to both of us . God is opening up doors to communicate and heal. This is a
wonderful book. I cannot tell you how often I read just what I need to for that day and how healing it is. I'm reading about Job and just
finished the final chapter. Job loved God sooo much and was a righteous man. Satan was given permission to attack Job and did so. Later
he was given permission from God to physically attack Job. Job never gave up on God. His friends accused him of unconfessed sins. Job did
not have unconfessed sins. He was righteous. After awhile he just wanted to go to God and talk to him. Finally, a young man shared more of
