Going downhill

I'm struggling to finish this one. First our dream team is so slow to put two and two together on various bits of evidence as they uncover it, when it is OBVIOUS to the reader. Secondly, Laney is becoming an annoying character for me. She seems to have this attitude that she and she alone can save the world and everyone else needs to go hide in a cave. Isn't she part of a triad??? Perhaps we are leading up to the Ring of Solomon having some detrimental effects? I mean, the myths about him do show some definite decline in character. I don't think that's it though. Also, Laney's obsession with Cain is just creepy. Our author seems to be making up excuses to push her away from Jake so she can bump uglies with the world's first murderer. But hey, the author managed to twist the story so Cain seems like not such a bad guy. Which makes no sense given how he was first introduced to the series. Bummer that it seems to be on the decline, but I guess nine books is a good run....Game of Thrones lost me after number four. That's just what I didn't like but itnis a good story, just not having the same effect on me. I really get into a story so how I perceive characters matters to me.

A most unusual and captivating story

I started these from the beginning but I would bet you could start anywhere. This a favorite series of mine; epic in its world and time canvas, familiar in its familial and relationship origins. I'd love to send the author some coffee to keep the books coming but respect the artistic process enough to be patient. This is a must read and so many true things are woven into the fabric of the story, I believe!

Entertaining and Addictive

I purchased the first book in this series for .99 and I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it. I love the character as they are smart and strong people. I particularly find it interesting how they travel around the world on their adventures. I find myself googling places they travel or artifacts they find to further learn about them. The author does her research before writing and gives you further insight at the end of book on the various places/people/things delt with in the book. I have read all the books in the series. If you are interested in fallen angels, suspense and intrigue this book and series is for you. This would make a great movie! I can not wait for the next installment.
